Balenciaga announced a new digital fashion show to debut its SS24 collection on May 30. This follows the fashion house’s stylish comeback with FW23 during Paris Fashion Week in March. The Kering group is using a number of focused measures to bring the brand back on track in the wake of the incident from November of last year, which caused the company’s first-quarter sales to decline 9%. FW23 was a celebration of Cristobal’s legacy and Demna’s attempt to refocus attention on the clothing and move past the dispute. It is unclear if Balenciaga will stick with its current minimalistic approach or revert to its earlier inventive designs and outlandish publicity gimmicks in the next shows.
