British singer Harry Styles said he has a “broken heart” and was “devastated” by Sunday’s deadly shooting at a Copenhagen mall after canceling the planned concert in the city. The singer of “Sign of the Times” and “Watermelon Sugar” was scheduled to perform at Copenhagen’s Royal Arena on Sunday as part of his tour, “Love On Tour.”Three people were killed and many more injured in a shooting at the capital’s Field’s mall, Danish police said, adding that they arrested a 22-year-old Danish man and accused him of manslaughter.
“I’m heartbroken with the people of Copenhagen. I love this city. People are so warm and full of love. I am devastated for the victims, their families and all those who are suffering,” Styles wrote on Twitter.
“I’m sorry we couldn’t be together. Please take care of each other.”
Chief Police Inspector Soren Thomassen told reporters Monday that there was no indication that the shooting was an “act of terrorism” or that the suspect had acted alongside others. He said the killer killed two 17-year-olds, a man and a woman, and a 47-year-old Russian citizen living in Denmark.
