Let’s be honest — when we think of Victoria Beckham, we picture the ultimate style icon: designer clothes, oversized sunglasses, and that signature Posh Spice confidence. But as it turns out, even Victoria has had her fashion “oops” moments.
During a recent podcast, she shared a funny story from the early 2000s that proves she wasn’t always carrying the real deal.
“We went to buy in Bond Street,” Victoria recalled. “And this was not a real Louis Vuitton handbag — this was a fake one.”
Yes, Posh Spice once rocked a fake Louis Vuitton bag. And here’s where it gets even better: Marc Jacobs, who was the creative director of Louis Vuitton at the time, actually noticed the photo.
“Marc Jacobs contacted me when he saw this photo,” Victoria said. “He told me that he would send me a real one because this was a snide.”
Victoria couldn’t help but laugh as she told the story, adding:
“Is this me? Yes — not as Posh as you think, Alex. Not all the time.”
It’s such a down-to-earth moment from someone who’s known for her polished image. We love that she can laugh about it now — and honestly, it just makes her even more relatable.
Because let’s face it: if Victoria Beckham can accidentally buy a fake designer bag, the rest of us don’t stand a chance.
