This location, famed for its appearance in Godard’s film ‘Le Mepris’ with Brigitte Bardot, added to the allure. The show marks the celebration of Jacquemus’s 15-year career, highlighting his youthful yet accomplished journey.
Jacquemus’s distinct Parisian aesthetic was evident throughout the show, set to the tunes of Dalida’s “Histoire d’un amour.” The collection featured the minimalist and geometric designs that define his work: structured slip dresses, voluminous shapes, and a nuanced sensuality that occasionally ventures into bold cut-outs. There were clear nods to the 1960s Caprese Dolce Vita, exemplified by headscarves.
