The celebrity and Guram Gvasalia worked together closely on the new styles.
Guram Gvasalia himself broke the word that Madonna would be sporting designer outfits from Vetements on her forthcoming tour. The pop star was recently hospitalized due to a serious bacterial infection, and although she is now back, she is required to take a rest period, so she has been forced to push back the big celebration of her 40-year career to a later date. The first show was scheduled to take place in Vancouver on July 15, but because of this, the pop star had to cancel it. Fans’ anticipation for what seems to be a big event is further increased by this. The slack compensation? Picture Madge sporting the new appearances Guram has designed for her. Guram feels honored to have collaborated with the Queen of Pop:
“Thank you , Madonna.” Thanks a lot for the past few months! Bringing our visions and creativity together into one huge celebration while working so closely together on the outfits for your trip. It was such a delight and an honor to create your costumes. I am so inspired by how hard you work and how determined you are. I now know why you are the way you are. You are the queen, a fighter, and an inspiration.
The Georgian designer can be seen in the Instagram post seated next to Madonna on the artist’s couch in front of a computer and a stack of notebooks and papers, which we presume include designs and notes regarding the upcoming performances of The Celebration Tour. Guram wrote about the partnership, which is still very secret:
Despite the fact that she can work with anyone in the world, I believe that being chosen for the job gives me some credibility. Without my being as difficult, many other individuals would do it for free. You feel more confident and realize you did something well thanks to that trust. That’s a true blessing.
Who knows whether the finished product will be able to rival the outfits Jean Paul Gaultier created for the illustrious Blonde Ambition Tour?
